Assessment of Computational Thinking – A Croatian Evidence-Centered Design model

چکیده
The new Croatian Informatics curriculum, which introduces computational thinking concepts into learning outcomes has been put practice. A assessment model reflecting the of curriculum was created using an evidence-centered design approach. possibility assessing concepts, abstraction, decomposition, and algorithmic thinking, in actual classroom situation examples such is increasingly coming to forefront computer science educational research. Precisely for that purpose, research conducted. Research data are collected through test questionnaire 407 pupils (10 middle schools, age 12), analysed by exploratory factor analysis non-parametric tests. Results showed presented suitable assess understanding abstraction independently previous experience with programming languages pupil's gender, while decomposition needs more work improvement, some recommendations provided. Also, it received positive feedback from teachers what implicated could help building a real-time measurement instrument.

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
Model of Learning Computational Thinking
There is a high demand for qualified information and communication technology (ICT) practitioners in the European labour market, but the problem at many universities is a high dropout rate among ICT students, especially during the first study year. The solution might be to focus more on improving students’ computational thinking (CT) before starting university studies. Therefore, research is ne...
